Patrick Clegg, DO
Founder & Medical Director, Carolina NeuroRehab
Dr. Patrick Clegg is a board-certified physiatrist (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician) dedicated to helping patients regain function and independence after neurological injury or illness. He founded Carolina NeuroRehab to bring specialized, patient-centered care to the Triad region, with a focus on spasticity management, migraine treatment, and neurorehabilitation.
Dr. Clegg studied Chemistry at Wabash College before earning a Master of Science at Rice University. He went on to complete his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019. His residency training in PM&R at East Carolina University (ECU) Health provided extensive experience treating patients with complex neurological conditions.
Since residency, Dr. Clegg has served as an attending physician at Novant Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health, where he has cared for thousands of patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and amputations.
To further specialize his practice, Dr. Clegg was selected for the inaugural class of AbbVie’s Emerging Leaders in Spasticity program, a national educational series designed to advance expertise among resident physiatrists in spasticity management.
His clinical interests include:
Spasticity management (post-stroke, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury)
Therapeutic Botox for spasticity and chronic migraines
Comprehensive amputee rehabilitation, including prosthetic prescriptions and follow-up care
Outside of medicine, Dr. Clegg enjoys spending time with his wife, two young children, and their energetic border collie, Fiona.
